Options Counseling

Making an informed decision is important. What is the right choice for you:  giving birth or abortion?  We can help you process through your options by listening and answering your questions.

Pregnancy Tests

We offer free Pregnancy Tests that measures Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) in the urine.  The hCG levels rise rapidly in the first trimester, doubling every 2 days.  Our Pregnancy Tests are an excellent indicator for early detection of pregnancy.  In a study of 425 samples from women suspected of being pregnant, all 425 produced the expected results when confirmed with clinical follow-ups.

Ask Doctor Davis:

1.) How long after sex do I have to wait in order to find out if I am pregnant?

It may take as long as 4 weeks afterwards for a conventional pregnancy test to show a positive, despite what is claimed in some commercials for pregnancy tests.

2.) What is the difference between RU486 and the morning after pill?

RU486 is an antiprogesterone agent which is used to kill the fetus in an established early pregnancy. A second pill, misoprostol, is given later to cause the uterus to contract and expel the fetus and placental tissue. The “morning after pill” is synthetic
progesterone as found in birth control pills. It reduces the likelihood of pregnancy when taken shortly after unprotected sex.

3.) How do I know if I am pregnant? What are the first signs of being pregnant?

Delay of the menstrual period, breast tenderness, nausea and fatigue are common symptoms in early pregnancy, although some women experience only some or even none of these.

3.) Will a condom protect me from all sexually transmitted diseases?

Although latex condoms, short of monogamy, are the best available protection against the spread of STD's, they still provide only partial protection. A small virus , such as the herpes virus, can pass through the pores of a latex condom, and latex condoms do not provide 100% protection from any STD.

A  CHOICE

I am confronted with choices every second, minute, hour, day, week, month, and year.
Some choices I have made so often, I now make them without thinking.
I take a shower, get dressed and brush my teeth.
Other choices I think long and hard about.
I talk with God about them.
Life… Love… Sex… Friendship… Work… Money… Education… Marriage… Motherhood… Meaning?
The choices I make accumulate and are the expression of my life.
Each choice is a brushstroke I use to paint the poem of my life with.
Therefore I choose to paint with…
Courage not panic,
Joy not despair,
Reasoning not reacting,
Kindness not anger,
Tenderness not toughness,
Love not fear,
I choose…
